HJ Martin helped to choose and install colorful, durable flooring throughout the building to create a warm environment that both the patients and staff can appreciate. Products included Mohawk Carpet Tile, Daltile Ceramic and Custom Glass Tile, Nora Resilient Flooring. Experience in heat welding and flash coving provides HJ Martin crews an advantage in Healthcare installation. Certified installers worked to keep dust and noise to a minimum throughout the project. Each HJ Martin crew member took proper infection control precautions including flu shots and wearing gowns per installation guidelines.

Bellin Hospital Emergency Room

H.J. Martin's Commercial Flooring; Metal Stud and Drywall; and Glass and Glazing teams worked together on the state-of-the-art Level III emergency facility. Over 128,000 square feet of sheetrock was hung, 2,000 square feet of glass was set, and 15,600 square feet of carpet, vinyl, and tile flooring was seamlessly laid. Work was completed on a rigorous schedule while maintaining the standard of perfection and accuracy that the medical field requires and HJ Martin is known to deliver. HJ Martin was awarded the 2011 Build Wisconsin Specialty Contractor Award for Interior Finishes.

St. Vincent Hospital

The St. Vincent Hospital curtain wall project involved the complete replacement of the original 50+ year old facade of the building. HJ Martin replaced the west side windows and added insulation that saves St. Vincent $35,000 in costs yearly. The project was completed in two phases along with Miron Construction during normal business hours in more than 375 rooms of the patient stack wing of the facility. HJ Martin Glass & Glazing played a big role in the exterior of the project and completed installation without re-routing visitor or staff traffic, with overhead protection from possible construction hazards.
