The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott hotel in Sheboygan opened its brand new building in early February 2020 for guests. The four-story, 108-room hotel includes a gym, pool, dining area, bar, outdoor patio, and is the only Marriott hotel in Sheboygan. Fairfield Inn is adjacent to Interstate 43 in the south part of the city, close to Blackwolf Run Golf Course, Riverdale Golf Course, and is not far from the Kohler-Andrae State Park. 

The H.J. Martin and Son Commercial Flooring division installed flooring throughout the hotel, including ceramic tile, carpet, luxury vinyl plank, and luxury vinyl tile. Four different crews of approximately eight total installers worked on the project beginning in September 2019, finishing up in early January 2020. The construction was overseen by North Central Construction out of Fond du Lac.

More than 55,000-square-feet of carpet was installed throughout the hotel hallways, fitness center, conference rooms, and guest rooms. Carpet brands consisted of Shaw, Royal Thai, Durkan Hospitality, and Sponge Cushion. 

Tile brands including Daltile, Nemo, and Schluter were installed in the hotel entry, dining, bar, and pool areas. The dining area features a beautiful white subway wall tile and the flooring features a wood-look tile installed in a herringbone pattern. In the pool, a wood-look tile was added to the walls with a basic gray tile on the pool deck.

Luxury vinyl brands of Johnsonite, Burke, and Mats Inc. were installed in the fitness center, back workrooms, and food prep areas. 

Overall, the theme of the hotel is very relaxing and pleasing. Rooms and halls are carpeted in shades of blue and gray, while the dining and bar areas have a farmhouse feel that is welcoming to guests.
