Emerald Row is a new residential apartment complex, offering high-end urban living as part of a mixed-use development in the suburban Milwaukee community of Oak Creek, Wis. A subtly stretched, V-shaped building, lined with traditional row-house apartments that are a half-story above a lush boulevard, is the centerpiece.
Residents of the units, which range from 785 to 1,965 square feet, enjoy signature stylistic elements, along with modern amenities, in a retreat-like setting with beautiful park views. Just steps from the door is a walkable community, including a full range of shopping and dining options.
One of the featured amenities is extensive use of Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) within each apartment. H.J. Martin and Son personnel also installed patterned carpet, stretched-in carpet, and ceramic tile.
Several challenges were successfully overcome on this project. A primary obstacle was, for the LVP installation, the need to work around – and cut up to – previously installed cabinetry.
H.J. Martin and Son installers also favorably tackled high humidity, high moisture levels, and lightweight concrete.
The entire installation stretched over a 9-month period. H.J. Martin and Son utilized a labor force of 25-30 installers as the project neared completion in order to meet the established finish date.
