Project Description:

H.J. Martin and Son helped with the completion of a brand new development of apartments on 901 Main Street in Green Bay, Wisconsin. These modern, urban apartments offer approximately 20 rental spaces spread out onto two separate floors. Each apartment is around 770 sq. ft. and each unit includes a living room, kitchen, private bedroom, bathroom with tub and shower, washers and dryers and some even have an outdoor balcony. Working closely with the general contractor, Atlas Venture Group, the project was completed in February 2020.

The H.J. Martin and Son Commercial Flooring division helped with the design and installation of all of the flooring throughout the new apartment complex. The client was looking for a clean and contemporary look throughout the units, and wanted that look and feel to be reflected in the flooring. More than 10,000 sq. ft. of luxury vinyl plank wood-look flooring was installed in the living room, kitchen, and bathrooms throughout the complex. This flooring was chosen because of its durability, and it’s waterproof which is great for pet-friendly facilities. The flooring team also installed a total of 4,878 sq. ft. of lineal carpet tile in all of the hallways as well as the bedrooms. Tile backsplashes were also installed in select units throughout the building as well. The commercial flooring team was on the job from October 2019 – February 2020.

The Glass and Glazing Divison at H.J. Martin and Son also played a key role in the project. They installed all of the exterior windows of the apartment building using 4501T front glazed black exterior windows and framing. Each sheet of the framing material starts at 4×10, so the crew needed to sheer, cut, and bend it to fit the exact parameters of the space. The two crew members were working on the project from August 2019 through November 2019.
