Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

Hours: Full-time, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with 1-hour lunch
Location: Green Bay
Reports To: Director of Marketing

Company Description: H.J. Martin and Son is a diversified construction company specializing in commercial and residential flooring, glass and glazing, walls and ceilings, commercial doors and hardware, and millwork and fixture installation.

Position Description: We are looking for someone that is willing to learn and grow with the company. Our objective is for the candidate to lead the social media and event planning efforts and assist the marketing team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Social Media
    • Adhere to established social media strategy for multiple businesses and channels
      • Primarily Facebook and Instagram, with other channels including Houzz, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Business, Yelp, etc.
    • Conceptualize content plans with team
    • Generate visuals and copy for posts, per established strategy
    • Curate engagement
    • Daily monitoring of and responding on all channels
    • Provide weekly/monthly data on engagement and ad performance
    • Ad creation (brand, promotional and hiring)
  • Event planning for internal and external events
  • Maintain a consistent brand standard between all internal and external documents and everywhere H.J. Martin and Son (and all other company brands) are represented
  • Manage internal printed collateral
  • Develop partnerships with influencers and bloggers
  • Manage online chat for company
  • Continual research in all aspects of marketing, communications, and public relations to implement within the company
  • Assist with Martin Communications clients
  • Assist the Marketing Department with administrative needs

Other Duties As Assigned: Performs other related duties as assigned including supporting agency team members in the completion of their work for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the marketing process.

Supervision:  Works with the direct supervision of Director of Marketing. This position does not supervise others.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred

Work Experience:

  • Microsoft and Google Suite experience required
  • Experience in the WordPress content management system preferred
  • Experience in Canva preferred
  • Exceptional organizational, written and communication skills

Working Environment: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.
