Hours: Full-time (Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Friday 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.)
Status: Non-Exempt

Company Description: H.J. Martin and Son is a diversified construction company specializing in commercial and residential flooring, glass and glazing, walls and ceilings, commercial doors and hardware, and millwork and fixture installation.
Position Description: We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an entry-level Welder. We provide training and a strong opportunity to build a long-term career. In this role, you’ll work with metal and steel door frames, performing tasks such as welding, grinding, cutting, punching, and finishing based on work orders.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Light gauge MIG welding
- Assemble hollow metal and steel frames
- Weld, grind, and finish steel doors and frames
- Communicates effectively with others in all phases of work and is safety oriented
- Ensures work area remains clean and organized
- Load, deliver and unload material to various job site locations when needed
Other Duties As Assigned: Performs other related duties as assigned including supporting team members in the completion of their work for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the business.
Experience/Education Required:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Basic construction knowledge preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrates dependability, accountability and initiative
- Be able to work independently and in a team setting
- A year of experience is preferred
Conditions of Employment: Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical. The employee is expected to all adhere to all company policies.
