Reedsville Elementary needed a major remodel to address the following areas within their school: Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Roof Replacement, Increased Safety & Security, and Accessibility (to meet ADA regulations). The referendum was approved, and construction started in the Spring of 2022.
The commercial flooring team installed ceramic tile, carpet tile, luxury vinyl plank, and vinyl base throughout the classrooms, corridors, bathrooms, and library. 3-4 installers worked for approximately 2 months over the summer.
With areas of the school dating back to 1974, there were challenges with the existing building and the schedule, as the remodel needed to be completed before school was back in session in Fall. Unique elements included a flooring pattern that followed the corridors by wrapping around each corner and marking distinct sections within the school. Within the classrooms, the flooring tied in with the painted walls for a cohesive concept, proudly representing the school’s brand colors.
