Project Manager Mike Agamaite Promoted to Vice President of Residential Interiors

Agamaite to take on department management for H.J. Martin and Son

Green Bay, Wis. – Mike Agamaite is stepping into the Vice President of Residential Interiors position with H.J. Martin and Son. He will be taking on this role as the division has experienced considerable growth over the last few years.

Agamaite has been working for the company for 13 years, moving through multiple positions, starting out as a union pre-apprentice flooring installer in both residential and commercial capacities. He has worked at every level of the flooring division and in 2016 he became a Project Manager. Agamaite has worked to grow the H.J. Martin and Son residential flooring division exponentially.

With his change in position, Agamaite will oversee operations for Residential Interiors including managing the more than 40-person residential/multi-family sales, design, and estimating staff based in Green Bay and Neenah. Additionally, he will be improving upon and implementing new systems and team development to establish a greater foundation for future growth.

During his time working as a Project Manager, Agamaite has completed many large-scale projects including, specialty hospitality projects, collegiate residence halls, hotels, senior living residences, restaurants, apartment buildings, and more. He has directed projects throughout the Midwest and United States.

Having worked at H.J. Martin and Son for so long, he is excited to bring a lasting impact to the company.

Along with Agamaite becoming Vice President, other position changes are happening within the Residential Interiors division. Measurer Kyle Hogg and Assistant Project Manager Rachel Larson are being promoted to Project Managers. Flooring Installer Dave Cornette is now a Field Project Manager, a new position for the company, acting as an on-site liaison between the installation crew and project managers. Additionally, Project Coordinator Dawn Kalies has been promoted to Assistant Project Manager and Interior Designer Melissa Malcore is changing positions to work as a Project Coordinator.

Professional and Community Involvement

After graduating high school, Agamaite took specialized courses within the construction industry along with various leadership courses. He completed an apprenticeship program with the Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters and became a journey floor coverer. He attended night classes to maintain his apprenticeship affiliation afterward. Mike has also taken the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) project management course and the Dale Carnegie course, which has a focus on communication and leadership skills. He regularly attends Brown County Home Builders Association (BCHBA) meetings to stay versed on the latest trends within the residential home building industry.

Outside of work, Mike is actively involved in his son’s baseball and wrestling programs and his daughter’s softball team, serving as a coach for several years. He also enjoys fishing, hunting, shooting trap & archery, woodworking, camping with friends & family, and spending time at his cabin.
