2019 UWGB graduate is promoted following two years as a company intern

Green Bay, Wis. – Jared Miesbauer, a 2019 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, has joined H.J. Martin and Son as an IT Support Technician. In that position, he will provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware and software, ensuring proper operation for company IT users.

Miesbauer has worked as an IT Intern for H.J. Martin and Son since June 2017, earning a full-time position upon graduation. Over the past two years, he has worked effectively with approximately 150 office employees, installing and updating their workstations. He also solved numerous issues that came into the company’s IT help desk.

This past May 18, Miesbauer received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, with an emphasis in Software Engineering, from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Born and raised in Butternut, a village of 375 residents in northern Wisconsin, Miesbauer is a graduate of Chequamegon High School in Park Falls, Wis.

Miesbauer has held summer positions on the production line at Weather Shield, a manufacturer of windows and doors (2016), and as a member of the cleaning crew at Boyd’s Mason Lake Resort, a fishing resort (2015), both in Park Falls.
