H.J. Martin and Son is honored to have participated in eight of the projects receiving awards at the Daily Reporter ‘Top Projects of 2016’ awards dinner.  The event – designed to recognize those in the construction industry whose projects exceeded expectations – was held May 16, 2017, at Potawatomi Hotel and Casino in Milwaukee.

Three commercial divisions of H.J. Martin and Son – Flooring, Glass & Glazing, and Walls & Ceilings – are represented among the award-winning projects.

The company’s talented residential flooring staff also participated in a pair of ‘Top Projects of 2016’: Artist Lofts in Manitowoc, Wis., and Emerald Row Apartments in Oak Creek, Wis.  Artist Lofts were built into an 80-plus year old, former downtown factory, using an open concept.  Emerald Row is a new, upscale development in a bustling community just south of Milwaukee.

“We appreciate the opportunities entrusted to H.J. Martin and Son by these many great general contractors working in the state,” says Edward Martin, the company’s president and CEO.  “We are happy to have played a role in their success in making these award-winning projects.”

The Glass & Glazing division of H.J. Martin and Son took part in three different Daily Reporter ‘Top Projects of 2016.’  They were the Grande Cheese Home Office in Fond du Lac, Wis.; the East Galleria of Acuity Insurance in Sheboygan, Wis.; and Uline’s Distribution Center W2 in Pleasant Prairie, Wis.

Commercial Flooring also participated in the Acuity Insurance East Galleria project, along with the Menasha Corporation Corporate Office in Neenah, Wis., and a project for the Ripon Area School District.

Both Commercial Flooring and the Walls & Ceilings division of H.J. Martin and Son took part in the spectacular One Menasha Center, an eight-story office building in downtown Menasha, Wis.

The Daily Reporter is Wisconsin’s only daily business publication devoted to local construction news.
