Ascension Health is a healthcare organization with 1,900 care sites in 24 states plus Washington, D.C. Its facility in downtown Appleton, Wis., located within the 63-year old 222 Building, required expansion to meet the growing needs of the local business community.
Milliken carpet tile was selected for its dramatic color and innovative patterns, along with for its ease of replacement and acoustical properties. Approximately 860 square yards were installed in the add-on to the existing health facility.
Complementing the carpet tile was roughly 415 SF of Centiva LVT in wood and stone looks, along with 375 SF of Armstrong LVT.
Daltile Travertine tile was used as the backsplash in the kitchenette area for a dramatic feel, along with bringing in the beauty and feel of a natural stone.
Project challenges included work around an in-use office building and medical facility, requiring operational and noise considerations.
